[SOLVED] Wifi/ bluetooth hardware switcher

Postby cappucino » Jan 19th, '14, 11:04

Hi!
I installed Mageia without any big problems on my laptop. The only one was the Broadcom driver, bcm4312 lp-phy. I use my phone as a modem to install the system updates. After that (and reboot) the wifi driver appears to be installed BUT! When I rebooted the wifi/ bluetooth hardware switch button turned of (orange color). I can't turn it on. Once I had the same problem on Ubuntu 10.04. Then I went to BIOS and I restore the defaults and the problem was solved, but now during the boot Mageia turned it from on (at start is blue colored) to off (orange collor).
How can I fix the switch button to on? (there is no windows, or any other systems on my machine).
My lspci (only the wlan):
Code: Select all
10:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-PHY (rev 01)

Sorry for the new topic, I solved it my self. I was searching by askubuntu and I found this:
rfkill unblock wifi
rfkill unblock bluetooth
Now the button turns to blue, wifi and bluetooth work perfect.
