Hello,
I have sucessfull install Mageia,but I cant connection to my LAN.
My Hardware:
AMD FX 8350 Octacore@4GHz
AMD Radeon 7780@2 GB
630W PSU
Gigabyte 970A-DS3 Motherboard
Realtek GBE Family Controller (Network: Card: Realtek RTL8111/8168 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller driver: r8168 )

thats a well supported NIC from kernel level 2.6.18.200 upwards so you should have no problems with any version of mageia.

there was an issue before that with the 8111 based nics in that they were misidentified as another realtek card and would not bring up the link. mageia kernals are all well in advance of this now.

you did not mention what style of mageia you chose,

ie live, gnome based, kde based.

I use the kde based one and setting up network with a built in supported nic like yours is a no brainer usualy.

system will default to attempt to get dhcp address from your router or dhcp server and set it automaticly.

so we would need to know what is the result of the following commands (open a terminal and switch user to root)

ethtool eth0

ifconfig -a eth0

netstat -rn

Seems broken default gateway route.
