installing manufactures drivers failure

Postby andrew-lohmann » Aug 17th, '14, 22:55

Installing Epson SX125 printer and scanner driver fails.

Earlier versions of Mageia 3 and 4 allowed me to do this 6 months ago. I am now using Mageia 4.1 both 32 bit and 64 bit versions.

I have got the most up to date versions of the drivers today. Mageia reports installation failed with no other clues to why.
PC I use as a desktop at home;
IBM xSeries 206m - Server with IDE (Linux) drive and SATA (Windows) drive, 64 Bit processor and 1GB of DRAM.
There is a BIOS warning at start up associated with the PCI soundcard.
Linux; Mageia 4 & Windows XP

What format are those drivers, and how exactly did you try to install them?
If they are rpms, please try again to install directly via urpmi and provide the complete command and output,

Thanks Doktor

They are a .noarch and .rpm's. I clicked on them in file manager. I will have to learn how to install them using the command method you ask me to do.
