Canon MP560 & scangearmp

Canon MP560 & scangearmp

Postby colinmurray » May 5th, '14, 18:20

Just upgraded to Mageia 4 and all working fine except my connection to the Canon MP 560 scanner. The printer works fine. Scangearmp worked in Mageia 3 but now I get a segmentation fault. Starting from console the first message was "unable to load canberra-gtk-module" so installed libcanberra-gtk0 (libcanberra-gtk3-0 was already installed). This eliminated the error message but still get seg fault message after selecting OK on scanner selection dialogue box. The scanner is detected in the window but thats as far as things go, click ok and end of operation. I've gone through the reinstalling of Canons scangearmp but same trouble. Thanks for any help, Colin...

I ran into exactly the same problem with Canon MG6150. After clicking OK, scangearmp SIGSEGVs. It is not a big issue, because the scanner is accessible through scangui or xsane.
