[SOLVED] Install Photoprint

[SOLVED] Install Photoprint

Need help installing Photoprint (http://blackfiveimaging.co.uk/).

This package is a compile job, and I have checked that the requirements are met - at least as far as I am able until now.
When I run ./configure the following message appear:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
checking for GTK2... configure: error: Package requirements (gtk+-2.0) were not met:

No package 'gtk+-2.0' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables GTK2_CFLAGS
and GTK2_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have no clue how to set this variable - anyone?

If running a 32-bit system:
Code: Select all
su
urpmi libgtk+2.0-devel

If running a 64-bit system:
Code: Select all
su
urpmi lib64gtk+2.0-devel

Then rerun ./configure

Generally, if ./configure reports a package is missing, try to install a similarly named package starting with lib (or lib64 for 64-bit) and ending in -devel. Running urpmq <short-name> will often show what you need, e.g.
Code: Select all
# urpmq gtk+
No package named gtk+
The following packages contain gtk+: gtk+2.0, lib64gtk+-x11-2.0_0, lib64gtk+2.0-devel, lib64gtk+2.0_0, ...

Thanks, it worked!

I can mention that Photoprint is a handy piece of software to print photos in various ways. May be it should have been included in Mageia, as it is few alternatives to photo printing?
