Hello all,
I upgraded to ver 9 and now my printer needs to be turned off then back on to print whatever is in the print queue. If another print job is sent, the printer must be turned off then back on to again print the queue, then it won't printer till the off/on cycle is done again. Help.

It worked fine before upgrading. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is an Epson ET-3750 printer, which you all helped me install last year I believe it was.

Thanks.

Edited to add that the issue was solved. Read all the posts below to see solution.

I will be blunt. I don't have a clue what that is telling me what to do. Basically it is talking above my meager knowledge of Linux.

When I look at the printers listed on the cups page, it is there. So I'm not sure how to add it, as it is there already. I tried to print again, and the queue is showing "Waiting for printer to become available."

It does sound like it is the same issue though.

Sorry to be so ignorant.

You want to remove the printer if it's shown in cups as connected via USB. Then re-add it via that cups page as a network-printer as it seems to require ipp-usb from what I understood from the bugreport.

I managed to delete the printer, but I'm not sure how to add it via the network-printer.

Edited to say, I got it done. Thanks for the help everyone.

One more edit. Be sure the printer is turned on when adding back. Made that mistake after deleting the printer. With it off, it wasn't being found to add back as a network printer. Maybe I'm the only to make that mistake, but thought I'd just make it very clear.
