Canon Pixma Ts3150 scanner problem

Hello, I use Mageia 8 and although the printer detects it and configures it for me via Wi-Fi with the scanner, I can't do anything.

I have tried leaving the firewall open, opening all ports 8610-8612 / udp and TCP and nothing.

I have also tried with two distributions in Live mode (Mint and Opensuse 15.3) and, indeed, if the scanner recognizes me in <escl> mode.

What steps should I follow so that the scanner can configure it in Mageia 8?

Nothing to make, Mageia is blind in scaners, i dont know what happens.

How will I check if I disconnect the firewall I am exposed to anything.

Even port 8612 / udp I have it open, but nothing.

The program does not have a preview or anything at all (typical Canon program).

I can't quite understand that a printer that is connected by WPS can only be seen by Win $, OpenSuse, Linux Mint, Debian, Arch, and others, what happens with Mageia? At least the printer DOES detect it and I can even configure it and make it maintenance.

I am not willing to give up, dog I do not change Mageia for anything or anyone.

Yes, but that is not the solution, how do I launch a 15 meter usb cable from my room to where the printer shared with my brother's computer is? I don't know, for that there is Wifi, I thank you for this help but I do not see (at the moment) an exit to the configuration of the scanner.

It was not intended as a solution, only as a question whether this works at all. So from what I understood is that when you disable shorewall completely, scanning also works via wifi.
Did you read https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26912 ? It also shows the log entries for packages blocked by the firewall, do you still see such log entries?
And it should be sufficient to allow both ports 8610 and 8612 UDP according to https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26912#c10

Although the most important step when configuring firewall via MCC you have to enable this for your wifi connection at the final step.

Otherwise those ports are not allowed for your wifi connection.

PD:Last night I tried a live fedora 35 and I recognized the scanner as ESCL airscan, I think Mageia does not have airscan to detect scanners.

And with shorewall enabled, there's no more communication with the scanner ? Did you check the logs if there are any blocked packages ?
What you could do is disable the firewall, then run tcpdump against the IP adress of the scanner when using it with scangear to check which ports it requires when using the proprietary driver.

Hello, due to the printer scanner problem, I left the thread open and I have seen that they have created a backend-sane for the types of printers that use escl, well, days after creating the query thread, my father passed away and between the mourning and some trips that I had to do I have not read it again, today I have discovered what was written by Morgan (which I thank, I suppose that I and many other people) who has created said backend for Mageia, since from my Mandrake beginnings I have never moved to other distros.

I have gone to Bugs and I have consulted the list and I see that (for now) it is solved, my scanner already... detects it! and I can work with it, I just followed the instructions and "voila!" achieved.

From here my deepest thanks to those who have worked to cover the huge hole that devastated Mageia with the theme "ESCL" and "WSD", and here I put at the disposal of whoever has it good or needs it, where to go and how to fix it .
