[SOLVED]Printer disappeared from system - unable to
Posted: Jun 14th, '20, 09:07
Late yesterday afternoon I discovered that my printer had disappeared from my system when I tried to print a document - all it showed was "generic printer" not my Canon ip7200. then I stupidly ran the system update that wiped LO off my system (as it did for others , although mine isn't fixed; I just raised a new topic about that).
When I go into MCC > Hardware to re-add my printer I get a dialogue box stating I am about to install 2 packages:
So I abort.
I checked in MCC for the status of cups and found that there are quite a few parts of cups still installed, however I don't know what happened, or how to fix it. Very frustrating.
Anyone have any ideas.
Any help greatly accepted.
