[SOLVED] HP Photosmart D5460 driver

hello! i want to make use of my printer so i went to hp's website to download the drivers. it has steps on how to install them for several distributions but not for mageia.. should i follow the steps for the latest mandriva?
IBM ThinkPad R51 --> Intel Pentium M 1.5Ghz, 512mB RAM
mageia 1 with gnome shell end user!

Why don't you use the hplip-packages?

okay i installed the hplip packages then i ran hp device manager and lastly i made the setup with the easiest way the manager proposed (via cups website). easy! solved!
