Postby feeling » Jul 30th, '16, 08:34

Hi dear community,

first of all: sorry about my english.

My problem, I cant get my printer to work, even install.
Over MCC I tried to find/add my printer. Error message: service not available.
urpmi cups, and again.
Next problem: no printer found.
I downloaded this driver (link) and installed it, no errors. MCC found printer but cant install it.

What is the next step?
uname -r: 4.4.13-desktop-1.mga5

thanks

I have a SAMSUNG CLP-300 and had the same problem.

What I did was install "task-printing".

Started the CUPS service and using the CUPS network interface http://localhost:631/ added the printer. .
