Hi,

I'm currently running Mageia 4 with an AMD Llano APU. I'm planning on building a new PC, with an AMD FX CPU and a Radeon R7 260X GPU. I will be doing a clean install of Mageia 5. Would the R7 work with Mageia 5? I'm guessing the way to go would be to use AMD's Catalyst driver.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Yes it will work fine, Currently using a 290x with MGA5
Default MGA5 proprietary drivers are the 14.12s(Omega)


Side note:
ATM I'm using the 15.5's as the opengl perf boost is huge Seems AMD has made an effort. Down side is I had to patch it for the 3.19 kernel in mageia 5 before it would install. So not for the new user.
