Hi!
I got a serious problem while downloading the ATI drivers, I lost connection (battery went down on laptop, duh!)
Now when I'm booting back in Mageia, I get a black screen with some funny things
How do I boot back In Mageia with the standard driver?
Thanks for your help!

I suppose the "funny things" are a normal login prompt like:
- Code: Select all
Mageia release 1 ......
Kernel ......
localhost login:
If that is the case, login as root (when giving the password you will see nothing). Then start XFdrake and re-configure your graphic system.

no actually it boots up to the kde desktop (I hear the nice sound) but then its a blank screen and the mouse cursor is like a white pixeled square moving on the screen.
i wanted to have the code to put at the boot so that it boots with the standard driver.
I once did that - something about boot at level 3 and then deleting the grafix card drivers..

You can boot to "failsafe" and do that. Or you enter 'init 3' at the boot prompt of the failsafe mode.

You can still do what I proposed: being in init 3 login as root and run XFdrake to reconfigure.

ATM only moderators can do that because you can only edit your own posts for a short timespan.
A button for this is in the works since quite some time:
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=537If the thread gets solved really fast, you can edit the original post, and prefix the Subject with [SOLVED].
