Mageia 4 fresh install from DVD, iso md5 is ok, DVD verified.
The PC is the FitPC2i, with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator GMA500 chip.
I won't talk about the install process itself, very long, it's another topic.
Right after install, upon boot, the screen goes black and there's no longer any video signal sent to the display.
I tried to boot runlevel 1 or 3, failsafe, failsafe and runlevel 1 :
Same results. The display is ok until a dozen services start [OK] and then black screen forever. The boot process goes on I guess, led is blinking until it's done. Ctrl-Alt-Del reboot is ok.
The Ctrl-Alt-F1 - Fn does nothing.
I don't have any log to post, since it's hard to log and configure a new system without screen at all.
I've seen others had problem with GMA500, like in this thread, but that was quite a long time before Mageia 4. EDIT: I've been posting here also, for the same hardware
And I can hardly apply any workaround without any screen at all after boot.
Maybe some kernel option before boot could help ? Any idea ?
