Forum headers / Mageia Navbar

Postby doktor5000 » Dec 12th, '13, 11:17

Hi all,

since the recent forum software update some links in the forum header were broken.
Thanks to our forum admin maat the Register links have already been fixed: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=6493
so they will point again to https://identity.mageia.org/.

But sadly some of the changes made to the forum header / the navbar on top have
not been merged in yet, so for the time being the navbar has been disabled.
If you need some links from the navbar it can be reached e.g. at http://www.mageia.org/en/
We will send out a short notice when the issue is finally resolved.

Thanks in advance for your understanding.

Today's update has restored the top banner, but it seems to have resulted in the return of the strange "jumping" effect when that banner is loaded.

On the page listing "unread posts" the option to "mark forums read" has been removed.

Neither of these is earth-shattering. :)

Also german and english banner now differ slightly, and language dropdown menu isn't present anymore ... :/
Thanks for the link, also asked for status via https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12220

Forgot to reply here. Can be disabled by either disabling Javascript or blocking Javascript from nav.mageia.org/js
See https://nav.mageia.org/ for more details.
Warning: This completely supresses the navbar.

A way to suppress the navbar has been provided earlier, and it will definitely not be removed once and for all.
