[SOLVED] Problem starting graphical display

I just reinstalled Mageia 2 Gnome from USB and I can't get a graphical interface. I get a text-based login screen telling me to log in as root and run drakx11. The problem is that I have a simple netbook (LG X130) with built-in Intel i915 graphics according to lsmod and Intel 945GME according to lspci. Neither is in the list of drivers available in drakx11. Which one do I need to choose? Any ideas as to what I should do? Thanks in advance.

hi,
I have a built-in Intel i915 graphics which works fine with the driver Intel 810 and later.

Thanks for responding. I tried that one, as well as a few others that I thought might work, but no success. Something must be messed up somewhere. I'm going to do a clean install using a Live CD and see how that goes. Thanks again.

Using the xorg|vesa driver should allow you to boot into Gnome.

Thanks Ken,

I ended up using the Live CD and all went well. Thanks all the same.
