Crash sounds in VLC 2.0.1/2.0.2 (FIXED)

HI.

Do not know if this is just my affliction, but on two computers (PC and notebook) with Mageia Mageia 2 and 3 Cauldron had a problem with the sound during playback in VLC 2.0.1 or 2.0.2.

I looked for many reasons, but the sound crackled terribly and nothing helped. Half of the sound system crashed and replaced with newer packages, but it was still the same.

Let me add that this has happened only in VLC, for other programs like smplayer or xine sound was good.
As a warning, as if someone else had that problem, to fix this problem, change the settings for vlc.

VLC -> Tools -> Preferences -> Sound -> Output Module -> default and change it to alsa or pulseaudio.

The sound from now on sail. Does anyone know what was wrong?

FWIW, i've never had similar problems with VLC, always worked with the default setup. What did you change regarding sound setup after the initial installation of Mageia, did you perhaps disable pulseaudio?

Also, could you please go into more detail about
Half of the sound system crashed and replaced with newer packages, but it was still the same.

Did this happen with 2 or cauldron?

I have this problem both in a stable Mageia 2 and test Cauldron.
It occurs on a clean version of Mageia 2 (no updates), but also, and after downloading all available information.

When I did not know how to fix it, I tried to change various options. Initially I came to the conclusion that this might be the fault of the device "cypress hdmi audio" because it was still the default. When I started to change, pulseaduio is broken. There was no sound.
I installed the packages sound again, so that by using the package Cauldron.
The problem with VLC is still occurred.

Only after changing the default VLC sound output to ALSA, the problem disappeared.
I do not know why this is happening.

Correction when in VLC the sound is in default or pulseaudio if the problem is, the ALSA is working correctly.
