Does anyone know of an alternative to the Windows "ManyCam" program for Mageia?

With this program I broadcast movies and videos so that my mothers and I can watch them together through messaging programs like Skype.

Following your advice, I have downloaded the portable version.
When unzipping, the following files appear.

I have used the command chmod + x webcamoid.sh to make it executable. Then, when I double-click it, it does absolutely nothing.

What could be happening?

If you don't get any reaction after doubleclick it is always a good choice to run in from console and look for any errors

No problems here on an old Mageia 8 64bit Plasma Laptop to start this program. In my case it was not necessary to change any rights because the original "-rwxr--r--" means that you as user/owner have already execution rights.
