Hi,

The package plasma-workspace-wayland should install all dependencies. Then a item 'Plasma (Wayland)' will be shown in the login screen.

I recently tested Fedora 34 with KDE Plasma and Wayland in a virtual machine, There it is already the default installation. It did not crash as before, but I found several issues. For instance, the keyboard did not work with dead keys (German tilde) or compose key. That is a no go for me. I don't think that Mageia 8 will be better.

Best regards,
