[SOLVED]7.1 install problem + nVidia driver problems

I am opening a new topic as suggested by isadora as I mistakenly posted into an already solved issue.
I was wondering if anyone can help me with a problem with the nVidia drivers.
Last week I stuffed up my #7.1 desktop (I upgraded from #6.1 to #7.1 last year - didn't install) system. Not being very linux literate I did try and figure things out for my self for 3 or 4 days but couldn't. So yesterday I re-installed 7.1. - and again today (I screwed up Grub yesterday after finally getting a working system!). (Aslo a side issue - both times I re-installed I got the same msg right at the end of the install:
- what does this mean???) Could this error have something to do with the nVidia problem below?
Anyway, my problem is with the video driver - my display is jumping around like it's being shocked - especially when I scroll a page or when my screen saver comes on. I tried to specify to use the noveau driver but it seems to always load the nVidia driver I think.
Here is the output from some cmds doktor asked banjo to do (in the SOLVED issue I posted into):
I also have "nokmsboot" in the boot options (that was already there on install - because I chose to use the proprietary driver?).
As usual any assistance greatly appreciated.
