NonFree NVidia Driver for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650

No sure which NonFree NVidia driver to use for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650. I tried one but now the system crashes so it was obviously wrong. I could go through the list that way and do it by trial and error but that seems a little tedious. Anyone know? None of the options look like an obvious match...

Okay, I found this in the control center...
Module: ‎Card:NVIDIA GeForce 635 series and later

It seems to match one of the nvidia driver options available in the Hardware setup, so I presume it is the one.

I will update here whether or not that selection is successful.

It seemed like I could select the 635 series and later option, but when I pressed 'Test' it said I got it wrong and to select other options.

Not sure what to do, this is clearly the option that matches my GPU according to the 'Hardware' section in the Mageia Control Center.

I have two laptops with this setting. One of them I rebooted and now I can't login on that one.

The other I have set back to Intel for now.

Any ideas?

You should be able to find your driver at one of the links below.

That would be the right one, the packages it should install if they are not installed already are called "nvidia-current" and the most recent version is 430.64

Maybe you haven't installed all updates, see also viewtopic.php?f=8&t=13349

The "test" function does not work when there's already another driver loaded, please just select a driver, save the configuration and then reboot.
