HI, I am just trying out your distro and so far I am impressed, I installed gnome desktop and at the point it asked about monitors (I have 3) I chose Xinerama. I got all three monitors lit, but the first 2 (left to right) are clones. I found the Monitor app in preferences but it said RANDR extension is not present, so I looked in the package manager and the only thing I could find was the LXDE equivalent. I installed that but it didn't help. I have now 2 monitor menu entries the original still says the same thing and the other says "Unable to get monitor information". What can I do to get control of my monitor schema?

thanks in advance for your help

When you installed the "LXDE equivalent" you did so through Mageia's Control Centre (MCC).
Now when you go into "Software Management" in MCC, check whether both pull-down-boxes in the upper-left are set to "All".
Then try to install what you need.

On the other hand, when you have a NVIDIA-graphic-card, you could make use of it's proprietary-driver, and make use of NVIDIA-Settings to handle your monitor-settings.
