NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950m card problem

Postby mackowiakp » Oct 22nd, '15, 10:00

I have new laptop equipped with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950m video chipset. In Windows 8.1 Pro, it is recognized properly and proper driver is installed automatically, including Nvidia control panel app.
Mageia 5 recognized this video as "Intel 810 or later". Unexpectedly, it works but sometimes - especially during log-on - KDE hangs and no keyboard and mouse was working. So the only way is to press Power button for several seconds for hardware shutdown.
Probably problem exist because wrong video card driver. So I try to use "GeForce 420 or later" driver and XOrg nv driver. But KDE does not started and only CLI was available. So I changed from CLI video driver to "Intel 810 or later" and it works but still from time to time computer (KDE ?) hangs.
Any idea what video driver I have to use?

Hmmm. So as I understand it is not possible to switch totally display to NVIDIA instead of Intel processor build-in video just like in Windows?
