You can install through Mageia Control Centre (MCC).
Remove your current version of vlc, and install the tainted package(s).

Have you try to use urpmi --auto-update from terminal ? tainted packages not updated throught update system automatically, you need to first time manually update from rpmdrake them or terminal then they will auto update them in future from update system.
There is good reason to that as tainted host libdvdcss2 it's non legal in many countries,so we can get serious troubles if somebody don't wan't to automatically update non legal packages but wan't to install some legal codecs.

I'm stuck and i don't understand not the working of it.
I want only a simple video-player for my mp4-files.
My first question must be: what is a suitable video-player for me?
What now?

previous post edited. was actually hoping with the amount of preconfigured packages ready for autoinstall there would be a video player and music player that already has the codecs for handling aac audio.

Among others, the tainted version of vlc can play AAC audio just fine that's why you were suggested to install it. As you don't provide any further details there's not much more I can help you with.
Besides, crossposting one problem to two different threads, which you both basically hijacked instead of creating a separate thread for your issue, is not really encouraged in these forums. Please keep that in mind.

would be fine if the software installer would actually me to install the tainted versions.
