What? gecko-mediaplayer is a browser plugin which uses gnome mplayer, no codec of its own. There is no direct replacement for win32-codecs, and they are not available for Mageia due to patent/copyright problems. But nowadays they shouldn't be needed anymore.
@siddha: Could you please give an example for what you need them, or what is not working now?
Thanks Last five years I was using Mandriva and Mint where in i used to install dvdcss2 and win 32 codecs while installing newer versions .so it's a habbit.,more than a need
dvdcss2 is in Tainted_Release software repository. As said, win32-codecs are not needed anymore, everything should be supported through ffmpeg/libavformats52 or directly through your player, VLC for example.
