kdm and power manager

Postby linsspinho » Mar 26th, '14, 17:58

I have notice that kdm do not supports suspend as I read here https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Display_Managers,
so when my laptop suspends for a while and a try to bring it back I can see the mageia welcome blue screen without the login text field, I am able to see the mouse cursor.
What I do is ctrl+alt+F2, login to normal user then login su -> telinit 3 -> login normal user then login su again and then telinit 5 to see the welcome screen with the login fields.
I know there is a easier way to do this but I dont have skills for that.

Is there a better way of doing this?

I have notice that this happens only when wifi on.

Did you try pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del when you try to resume back from suspend.

To restart X session use Ctrl+Alt+Backspace ...
