intel i810 and mageia3

is mageia 3 supported a intel i810 graphics chipset, if not my 10 years of working with linux (read: Mandriva) is ending

I have a ibm r31 with that chip-set and when i try to run the live-cd it end in a black screen, the same i have with a nvidia fx5200 on my 10 year old desktop system.
MCNLive worked it was based on Mandriva 2010

It is supported in the Linux Kernel so it is supported in Mageia. Perhaps some of the default Kernel options in the Mageia installation disk that you are using is causing a problem. You could try some Kernel options to see if that helps!
