Had Mageia installed on one of my systems a fews years back running KDE but constantly had issues with it, so I had to walk away from it. This system is my old Dell D620 32 bit. The install was flawless and all is running well. Somewhat disappointed I couldn't get Chrome or Variety on this rig but I'll survive. My only issue so far is that I can't see the installed Cinnamon desktop and don't know where to go to launch it! Can anyone point me int he right direction? Thanks!

Hi there, you simply log out and then choose Cinnamon as session.
See e.g. the first screenshot at https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Display_Managers where it says "Session"

The support for 32bit was ended in year 2015! by Google. It is not possible to install Google Chrome on 32bit since then...

But you can install 32bit Chromium...

Clarifying: get chromium-browser from our repo.

For cinnamon, check you have task-cinnamon installed.

Thanks all for the help. I found where to switch to Cinnamon while switching to auto log at the control center. Still having difficulty getting Chromium. Went through the Wiki software section and found Chromium with a list of versions and tried to install each one, receiving an error message each time indicating the software doesn't exist. Can anyone help me out? Just hope I don't have to compile anything. Last time I did that was back in the day with Mandrake. Thanks in advance for any help.

Might be better to create a new topic for that question in Basic Support. ;)
