A huge thank you

Postby sethraven » May 28th, '25, 19:17

Hi everyone,

I don't really post to the forum often but just wanted to take a quick moment and send a heartfelt thank you to each and every single person who keeps Mageia ticking.

From the core developers and packagers to QA testers, sysadmins, docs and translation teams, bug triage, the Atelier artwork crew, and every volunteer behind the scenes, all the bodies, your dedication is what makes this distro special. I know it can feel thankless at times, but please know there are a lot of us (sometimes quiet ones) out here who use and love Mageia daily and we genuinely appreciate the effort and hours you put in.

Whether you’re up and at it squashing bugs at 2am or refining an icon or wallpaper, updating a package, or patiently answering new user questions, your work adds up to something we’re proud to run on our machines. Mageia has given me a stable, friendly home in the RPM world, and that wouldn’t be possible without you all.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for keeping the gears going and the community welcoming.
Your effort matters, and it doesn’t go unnoticed or unappreciated.

Cheers,
Seth

Many thanks sethraven.
In this world, it is quite remarkable people can appreciate.

Ditto.

No need to try and improve on the accuracy, or depth, of appreciation earned, sethraven nailed it

Thank you :)

And you are much welcome to join the party.

For example as you seem to be a long time user, maybe help out with qestions here on forum, or ehnhance or create some wiki page.
Maybe participating in QA, trying new packages for update.

I second this line of thought: I'm sooo thankful that Mageia carries on the Mandrake legacy.
Not just as a passing thought, but as a rock solid, stable, reliable and secure distro with one of the friendliest communities on the web.

A huge thanks from down under.
