I received this Email from the forum:

"[SOLVED] urpmi.update: unable to access medium ... ???"

Hello jtwdyp,

You are receiving this notification because you are watching the topic,
"[SOLVED] urpmi.update: unable to access medium ... ???" at "Mageia forum".
This topic has received a reply by raindropz since your last visit. You can
use the following link to view the replies made, no more notifications will
be sent until you visit the topic.

If you want to view the newest post made since your last visit, click the
following link:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5403&p=51815&e=51815

But: When I try to go there I get:

Then I noticed that the topic reply was from forum-developers@group.mageia.org
I'm thinking the "forum-developers" part of that may explain why I'm "not authorised"
especially since a quick peek at the "View your posts" links says the topic was
last posted to about a year ago...

So I figure that some "developer" may have used the topic to illustrate some
point in a forum that I don't have access to.

My question is: If I can't read the "Topic reply", why send me the notification?

When a spammer posts to a topic you're watching you receive a notification.
When a moderator sees that it's spam it gets moved to a moderator only area and you get that "not authorized" message when following the link.

Please mark the thread accordingly by editing the topic of the first post and prefix it by [SOLVED], thanks.
Also please next time don't use the "General discussions about Mageia subforum" but "Discussions about forums" subforum.
