I think it would be helpful to have buttons [links] to the home page, the wiki, documentation
in the top banner or at least with in a sticky thread
this will help improve the forum as a support resource

If I understood the plans of the webteam correctly they are working on a general navigation bar for the complete Mageia web family.

As a part of house cleaning:

This topic seems to be finished. There is a global navigation bar at the top which lets you access all parts of the Mageia web family from here - this bar is also in the header of all other Mageia places.

That would be really great. Hopefully also a way to switch between the different forums, like it was at mandrivas old forum.

This will possibly come soon, it will include not only the forums which are on the Mageia server (currently this one here and German) but also the other Mageia user forums which are now accessible in the Section "Supporting communities forums".
At the moment I keep 2 tabs open in my browser, one with the international forum, one with the German forum to be able to jump to and fro.
When I do enough jumping I may spare the daily PT...
