Hi there,

today i noticed again, that IMHO the total number of PMs is way to low. I don't know if it's for space considerations,
but when i remember correctly sysadmins told that space is not the problem. Back on topic, today i couldn't
receive a PM (already happened several times before) and it couldn't be forwarded to my PM inbox, as it was
said to be full. There were just 4 pages of PMs, most of them important to me, so i'd like to keep them.
Original notification says:

You have 1 private message currently on hold because of full folder.
Release all on-hold messages… they will be re-sorted into the appropriate folder if enough space is made available.

I know in mandrivauser.de forum, i had nearly 20 pages of PMs, so maybe ~400 altogether or even more.
Currently the limit is set to 100. I suppose that the majority of forums users has less then 20 PMs, and the more active ones,
which is the clear minority, say 5% of all forum users or even less, has between 20 and 100 PMs.

Why is the limit set that low, and can we please increase that?

Maybe the number can be increased for active users, but remain the same for average users?

Of course I think doktor5000 and isadora should have the hightest limit: at least 1000

I don't see the need for a tiered system as most users will have few if any private messages.
Just increase the limit for everyone. The handful of members that need the greater limit will be happy and the rest of us will not notice the change.

I'm wondering whether maat knows that doktor5000 hit the limit? I'll ping him on IRC
