Hi folks.
Is there a place where questions about unsupported software can be asked?
As in looking for help trying to install or fix some weird/exotic/old application from outside Mageia repos?

Let's say I want to install KDE3 and I don't want to be told: Hey, this is unsupported software and you're in the wrong forum..

You are right, there is no forum yet which matches such cases. May be because we are not yet at a first stable status.
Although my personal opinion says it's too early for such questions, you may ask in the basic support section.
Having a forum or subforum for "3rd party software" is a reasonable request for later, I agree.

Suggestion section : viewforum.php?f=29
And other section : viewforum.php?f=11

Obviously a dedicated part in support area could be a good idea... i'll suggest it to the whole forum team

As this board is really young i expect people to ben enough open-minded to tolerate mistakes in forum choice

Very good idea to do something in that direction.

I am just going to post a question on syncing firefox - similar problem: I want advice from the community, but the question is slightly off-topic in the scope of the support of mageia software. I will do it under basic support.
