Required X extensions (XComposite and XDamage) are not avai

i have went to the control center and added the extensions but i still cant get exploding desktops to work.

any ideas of what i am doing wrong. they work in 4.1 but not rc for 5

How did you add the extensions, as simply installing the library packages will not enable the X extensions, your graphics driver has to support those.

What graphics driver and chip do you use, and what desktop environment?
Please show the output of
