Cannot boot M5B2 Live

Good morning:

The topic heading is similar to one I've seen elsewhere but the symptoms seem different.

I have tried to boot Beta 2, both GNOME and KDE, both Live and classic Installer, both from DVD and from USB. So hopefully I've headed off some of the more obvious, AOL-level suggestions.

Here is the last part of the process that begins, and the messages that follow. This is consistent acrosse every single environmental variable I listed above:

Code: Select all
Starting LSB: Bring up/down networking...
[48.089571] xt_CT: No such helper "irc"
[48.094330] xt_CT: No such helper "irc-0"
[48.109573] xt_CT: No such helper "netbios-ns"
[48.114271] xt_CT: No such helper "pptp"
[48.119109] xt_CT: No such helper "snmp"
[48.262051] xt_addrtype: ipv6 does not support BROADCAST matching
[48.440193] ip_set: protocol 6

And boot simply ceases at that point.

My lappy:
Asus G73Jh
Intel Core i7-720QM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870

I'm this close to praying someone's seen this before... I will also check with Bugzilla. Thanks in advance.

Edited:

Yes, this bug seems similar to that one.

I should also clarify, with all apologies, that Beta 5 will install cleanly.

However, booting thereafter produces precisely the same results.
