Is it more useful to test Cauldron by means of an urpmi update using the repositories, followed by ongoing updates, than by downloading the Alpha isos and installing them from scratch?

Do the alpha disks have additional features that do not pertain to the aforementioned procedure?

I should appreciate some comments on this subject.

If you are running and updating cauldron, the main reason for installing an alpha or beta release is to test the installer. It is essential that bugs in the installer are identified (and fixed) before the final release. This requires testing on as many different combinations of hardware as possible.

Thanks

I think I'll continue with the running and updating method for now, and try out the installer in a VM, or find a spare machine.
