No, had a look at it and it's a pretty bad idea, doesn't even parse all the arguments passed to it for validity and for the major part just passes the arguments to sudo ...

Thanks have you run kdesu plasma 5 in lxqt ? it could be good to change Cauldron to use it by default.

I use gtksu with qt5 enabled gtk is also available to build,it's ktsuss fork works so much better than gksu-polkit or kde4 kdesu. :D

Official backport via the Mageia repositories no. Also there were some minor issues with 0.10 in cauldron, so I'm not that comfortable with that.
Although I might be able to upload my local packages on Pete's ftp. Will let you know if something moves ...

Bit late to notice kvantum and featherpad have both stable releases available, forgot to inform you about that.
I recommend to wait for 6 is released and backport both of them ?.

i notice on mga6sta1, under lxqt, running kwin_x11 as WM

start MCC and run update, kwin_x11 seg faults.

this happens every time.

sometimes kwin_x11 comes back, others its dead and a logout/login required to restart.

Can somebody point me to the instructions for getting LXQt working? I installed from the 32-bit classical DVD using the option "Other Graphical Desktops". It results in a system that boots up to xdm, a very simple display manager. The default session is AfterStep.

Then I installed task-lxqt, but I don't have an option to change the session, because xdm is so simple. How do I get a different display manager that I can use to change the sessions to LXQt?

You have to manually install any other display manager, e.g. sddm or gdm or any of the ones from https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Display_Managers
I'd recommend sddm which will probably replace kdm for KDE and for LXQt and which is also the recommended one by upstream (lxqt developers also contribute to sddm).

Then switch to it via drakdm: http://doc.mageia.org/mcc/5/en/content/drakedm.html
Now you can just select a different session on next login.

Hello

I'm still using LXQt Desktop, it is the BEST!
I use also the email client Trojita.
In our repos we have the 0.7 version which doesn't include the spellcheck (by Sonnet but doesn't require KDE installed)
The spellcheck in Trojita was introduced a long time ago but the developper has not time to make a new release.

I'm about to test the git version and the spellcheck with multi-language detection !
The rpm : http://www.mageia-gr.org/rpm/7/x86_64/t ... x86_64.rpm

If ok we can add it in repos

And in order to configure Sonnet outside KDE i packaged the configuration dialogue in standalone.
So i can configure the spellcheck for the applications i use w/o KDE (Lokalize, Trojita)

RPM: http://www.mageia-gr.org/rpm/7/x86_64/s ... x86_64.rpm

If someone use OpenBox as window manager and try to change the Print button shortcut in LXQt shortcuts, (for example remove it and try to redefine it) it will not be possible as we overwrite this setting with this patch http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauld ... iew=markup
So LXQt cannot redefine this button as a shortcut.
And if we don't have gnome-screenshot installed we have an error message.
Also, there is no configuration dialogue in Openbox settings to set this shortcut so the user cannot change this in a normal user way

I manually remove the gnome-screenshot entries from this file:
/etc/xdg/openbox/rc.xml

I believe that the usage of gnome-screenshot should'nt be hardcoded in openbox shortcuts

For example, in this forum post (in French) shows this user trouble case (i had the same issue)
