Please, if you post to an english forum, post english error messages, you can do this by prefixing your
command with LC_ALL=C . And the second thing is, if you use cauldron, you should be aware that it is
the development version, where such thing is merely one of the the smaller problems. It could be a mirror delay,
or someone forgot to rebuild a apackage or or or - nothing to worry about.
And as a cauldron user, you should know how to adress such smaller problem for yourself.
I.e. use urpmi --keep on every update or update your hdlists more often or or or ...
Cauldron is not for the faint of heart!

Quoting my PM responses:
doktor5000 wrote:So what should i do?

Wait until it is available on your mirror,
use another mirror that updates more frequently, or don't update at all if you don't know if it'll work.
I.e. for your next update, learn about the --keep and --test options to urpmi.

And please, use your thread so also other people can use the information for their help.
Noone besides you is helped with a PM.

Please, use your forum thread. No PMs.

And use another mirror, the german mirrors have no good reputation.
distrib-coffee maybe slow, but is the most frequent updated, mirrors.kernel.org should work,
ftp.LinuxCabal.org could work.

For the sake of the other users: I won't answer another PM about this problem.
I hope you understand that.

Please do not send private messages and ask for help as you have done with doktor5000 and me
1. If I could help you in this situation I would have done so in this thread.
2. Somebody may have the same problem and could benefit if there is a solution.
3. There may be no help available - but this is a risk you take volunteerily when using Cauldron without knowing enough to help yourself. This is a principle people tend to forget easily.

In Cauldron /core is lib64modprobe0-3.6-17.mga1.x86_64.rpm
There is no newer version in Cauldron updates or even updates_testing

So you will have to wait until it exists.

cauldron /core/updates_testing exists and includes:
module-init-tools-3.16-0.3.mga2.x86_64.rpm
lib64modprobe1-3.16-0.3.mga2.x86_64.rpm

I think that you would need both of those if you want to test them.

lib64modprobe0-3.16-0.1.mga2.x86_64.rpm no longer exists - it has been replaced by lib64modprobe1-3.16-0.3.mga2.x86_64.rpm

As you've been told several times you need to update your urpmi sources. It may also be necessary to clear out the urpmi cache, by deleting all files in the sub-directories of /var/cache/urpmi/

You should examine the changelog for those packages before installing them. There are more changes pending.

I'm suggesting the old rule from Mandriva "Cooker is not for the faint of heart" should be promoted stronger for Mageia/Cauldron.
It is simply as we already mentioned: Only run Cauldron if you know what you're doing. You should be able to fix smaller
and bigger problems for yourself, and if you're not, then you should at least be able to diagnose them, find a procedure to reproduce
them and send a message to the appropriate mailing list or be kind and gently ask one of the relevant developers on IRC.

My apologies - there is a problem with the /core/updates_testing repo. The hdlists include lib(64)modprobe0-3.16-0.1.mga2, even although that file has been removed.

However, this should not be a problem since the correct way to use any testing repo is to selectively install only those packages which one wishes to test. Installing the new module-init-tools package will automatically install the appropriate library package, lib(64)modprobe1-3.16-0.3.mga2.

Trying to install all packages from a testing repo willy-nilly is very unwise - doubly so on cauldron.

(The hdlists will be updated when something else is pushed there, unless they're updated manually).
