Hi,
I'm a user of Mageia3 (at home and at work) and I've downloaded and copy on USB stick the Mageia4 RC Gnome 64 bits. I've then booted it on two different Dell desktop PC.
I've noticed some very cool new features (most of them really lacked on Mageia3) :
 • better Tweak tools with nice extensions (Alternate Tab, Applications Menu...)
 • adding Startup Applications in Tweak tools
 • much more readable System font
I'v also found some ugly things (bugs ?).
 • During the boot process, I select French, Paris, French keyboard, but the live session opened in english.
 • When I select "Icons on Desktop" in Tweak tool, the screen backgroung become grey and the original (and nice) Mageia background disappear.
 • In System settings, if you select "Online accounts" you get this bogus screen :
At first sight, this new release seems great, many thanks to developper and all contributors.

Hi, thanks for the post. The english session was spotted and is now fixed, it was linked to an issue where the default directory structure was not being created in the user home.

Gnome is always a challenge for some reason. We have tried previously to put the 'Join the community' and 'Install to Hard Disk' icons on the desktop but it caused some weirdness. Gnome just isn't designed to have them there so it might be a compromise you have to make. Please create bug reports for this and the Online Accounts display issue though.

Thanks.
