Sound only on left channel

Hello.

I am running Mageia 4 Beta because Mageia didn't seem to have support for my wireless card (ASUS PCE-AC66 ).

Mageia 4 supports BCM4360 when the Broadcom packages are installed, so I have it up and running.

My challenge is that audio is only coming from the left channel of my speakers (only the left speaker works).

I have tried uninstalling PulseAudio and alsa, and reinstalling them, and have also tried multiple ways of configuring with KDE Mixer and PulseAudio.

I have a SoundBlaster Audigy SE -- and it's worth mentioning that this works fine under Mageia 3 -- sound is perfect.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I do not have a solution but have the same problem. Switched back to the on-board sound card.

The same is happening with Open Mandriva 2013.

(Sorry for bad English) Just encountered the same problem on Mageia 4 with SB-Live! 24bit soundcard. Solution is:
1. launch alsamixer (from console).
2. Select your soundcard (press F6), mine was CA0106.
3. Look for stereo items with one channel muted (text beneath bars looks like "63<>0").
4. Make volumes equal (63<>63) using keyboard controls (UP/DOWN, Q/Z, E/C).
5. Exit (ESC), no need to save manually.

I had the same issue and the same sound card with beeba(audigy se) and I solved it the same way you did. I just wanted to add that I pressed B to balance the channels
