I intended to try out e17 on updated cauldron (also have KDE, Razorqt, LXDE, xfce)
But when i log in the screen immediately blacks out (no background light, no pixels seen)
Fortunately Ctrl-Alt-F4, and in blind logging in as root and issuing reboot worked
Unfortunately i had set autologin so I could not change DE but it just went blackagain...

Rebooted in safe mode, then startx as root and i got logged in as root in KDE, and could switch off autologin easily.
(Yes an example when logging in as root saved me experimenting time)

Someone else use e17 here ?

sorry dude! I use KDE and icewm...do not like e17!

Just noticed your post after doing a forum search. Yes, I'm running e17 on Mageia3 (beta). It's the only desktop I have installed. Version is 0.17.1. Many (most?) of the modules do not work.
