[SOLVED] x86_64 s/w install asks for "Core Release" medium

Hello,
I am trying out Mageia-3 Beta-2 downloaded on 1 March 2013. I am glad I like this one very much ... unlike Mageia-2. But I got stuck when I tried to mount md0 (or md127) which is typically the dev name given to a RAID array. Many distros automatically create that device because they come with mdadm.

Well, as I tried to install mdadm, I got the prompt window saying "Please insert the medium named "Core Release" with Cancel/OK button. I inserted the install DVD but it kept on saying the same thing after reading the DVD briefly (LED lit momentarily).

The image is x86_64 ISO, full DVD (4GB), installed on a 400 GB partition with MBR. KDE as desktop. That was on 1st March. Today, I updated using MCC... some 753 packages and 540MB later I rebooted as instructed and tried to install mdadm again. But the result is the same. It is asking for something I donot understand. Should I have downloaded some other ISO? Without mdadm, gcc and emacs, I can't use the system very well.

Starting Image name: Mageia-3-beta2-x86_64-DVD.iso, 4235198464 bytes, md5 = 4fac433fe6ed90a487c875a8ed2a6740. I checked the md5 before burning.

Thanks.

Thanks patrickdarcy. That fixed it.

The option you mention is available in 2 places
"Options --> Media Manager" pull down menu once you are inside "Install & Remove Software" from MCC
and MCC --> "Configure media sources for install and updates".
So dumb of me.
