i prepared live usb using fedora live usb creator but it not working only logo displays and then it stated showing dracut warning in live usb mode on my dell inspiron n5050 laptop presently i m running mageia 2 kde with win 7 on it its running fine but live dvd doent boot up it shows dracut warning

 dracut warning:"/live/union" does not exist

What about our methods for that purpose?

mandriva seed doesnt recognize usb in win xp and how to install mandriva seed in mageia 2?
i used it and dwnloaded the file and typed the req command but it says no file
From Linux, download mandriva-seed.sh, then launch it from terminal:sh mandriva-seed.sh

only one thing worked for me right now was,
suse image writer;
but it formats the whole usb drive n now i m not able to see usb drive in my pc it shows diskette drive

If you want to reuse the flash drive afterwards you need to partition and format it again, as when writing the image the contents of the stick will be overwritten.

How did you format it exactly, and did you recreate the partition table, as already mentioned above?

FWIW for years to "zero out" a usb stick on Mandriva/Mageia I
use gparted. Delete all partitions. It only takes a few seconds.
Then I use the dd command to write the ISO to the usb stick.

i just formatted using disk utility in ubuntu 12.o4 lts so how to format it usb in mageia 2 disk utility doesnt work in mageia 2? and in gparted i doesnt see my usb so how to format using gparted n i had never used dd command ...............
