[SOLVED] Installing QTWebkit

Postby saptech » Jan 31st, '13, 22:34

For the life of me I can't figure out how to install qtwebkit. Would someone be so kind and tell me how? :?

I'm running Mga3 Cauldron with Gnome 3.

Thnx.

I'm trying to install google-musicmanager.

I've added the google link to the repositories but keep getting an error:
"Can not be installed due to unsatisfied qtwebkit." Does anyone know how to install qtwebkit?
urpmi qtwebkit No package named qtwebkit

Does anyone know the name to install it?

I don't know if this is what you need, but cauldron has "qtwebkit5".
Code: Select all
urpmi qtwebkit5

It refers to Mageia 2 but in this bug report is at least a workaround discribed:

Thanks for the replies. I installed qtwebkit5 and get the same error message. I've read that bug report, still nothing is working.

Maybe this has something to do with Mga3 and will work the kinks out. I can live without it and can use the web based GMM.

****EDIT****
I just got the solution from fraterlinux. I ran this command he suggested:

urpmi --allow-nodeps google-musicmanager-beta

I also had to choose continue installation without checking dependencies. It finally installed so far seems to be working.

Thnx. to all.
