[SOLVED] Install Latest Updates

Using Mga3 Beta with Gnome 3, after running the update command, not sure if it's safe to continue with updates. I haven't did the update command for a few days until now.

What should I do, continue or wait awhile longer?

Code: Select all
In order to satisfy the 'devel(libdl)' dependency, one of the following packages is needed:
 1- glibc-devel-2.17-2.mga3.i586: Header and object files for development using standard C libraries (to install)
 2- libuClibc-devel-0.9.30.3-3.mga3.i586: Development files & libraries for uClibc (to install)
What is your choice? (1-2) 1
In order to satisfy the 'devel(libz)' dependency, one of the following packages is needed:
 1- libuClibc-zlib-devel-1.2.7-7.mga3.i586: Header files and libraries for developing apps which will use uClibc-zlib (to install)
 2- libzlib-devel-1.2.7-7.mga3.i586: Header files and libraries for developing apps which will use zlib (to install)
What is your choice? (1-2) 2
A requested package cannot be installed:
gdm-3.6.2-5.mga3.i586 (due to conflicts with libGConf2-devel-3.2.6-1.mga3.i586, trying to promote gnome-session-bin)
Continue installation anyway? (Y/n)
The following packages have to be removed for others to be upgraded:
gdm-3.6.2-4.mga3.i586
 (due to missing gnome-session-bin)
gnome-panel-3.6.2-2.mga3.i586
 (due to missing gnome-session,
  due to missing gnome-shell)
gnome-session-3.6.2-3.mga3.i586
 (due to unsatisfied gnome-session-bin >= 3.6.2-3.mga3)
gnome-session-bin-3.6.2-3.mga3.i586
 (due to missing GConf2-sanity-check)
gnome-shell-3.6.2-2.mga3.i586
 (due to missing gnome-session)
gnome-tweak-tool-3.6.1-2.mga3.noarch
 (due to missing gnome-shell)
task-gnome-minimal-3.6.2-2.mga3.noarch
 (due to unsatisfied gnome-panel >= 3.1.0) (y/N)

Thnx.

ha ha... :lol:

So we come out with different desktop environments but no one should test these. We should only test KDE? Interesting!

Anyway, it seems it has fixed itself.

Thnx.

As the question was about Mageia3 I've moved it to "Testing : Alpha, Beta, RC and Cauldron."

FWIW what you experienced is common in Cauldron and waiting was the correct action.

Thanks Ken for moving it.
