You don't want root log in because you might mess up your system. (You might learn something as well but that is not considered or accepted as an alternative viewpoint.)
You like a nagging nanny pop up program asking you if you really want to leave as you have been trying to quit using the tool that will alow you to wreck your system if you wish. These are diametrically opposing ideas...
We are philosophically opposed on both these issues, I guess. I hate the nagging nanny 'do you want to leave' program and always set up any Linux computer to accept root log in so I can do system work as root with full access to all aspects of the program as I do so.

Smothering dissent without answering the fundamental argument with a cogent answer or alternate argument is what Political Correctness is about in USA. I didn't expect that to be in here... Even in small type you can be screaming if you wish to try.
Sorry to put it that frankly, but that is completely bullsh*t - you misunderstood this completely.
For example, i did even comment on that bugreport and put the same opinion there, to remove that pop-up, and nowhere did i mention that i like this kind of nagging stuff.
Also your comment about not letting root log in is completely off there, can't figure how you come to that conclusion.
The point is: As in politics, screaming and complaining brings you nowhere, you have to participate and contribute to the process
in a proper way so that you have the chance to change something. That was the main point adressed in the previous posts.
Just a friendly reminder, if you continue that path, you can do that somewhere else, but that thread will be closed then. Sadly.
