If I'm running M3A2 and now M3A3 is out. Is it best I should just stop testing A2 and install A3? I usually wait for Beta's before I may try and go into final release.

I'm willing to test them, but if I'm running A2 and now A3 is out, will A3 get all the attention? Does it make sense to keep testing A2?

I just want to know so I won't be customizing and before long a newer alpha or beta is out.

If are updating Alpha 2 with packages from the cauldron repo's then you will now have the equivalent of Alpha 3 and will eventually have the equivalent of the stable release. The main reason for installing further Alpha and Beta releases is to test the installation process, which in itself is important.

What you could do, if you have a spare partition, is to keep running your cauldron system, and use the spare partition just for testing the installer each time a pre-release is issued.

If your beta2 is up to date, there's no need to install beta3. Only if your intends are testing the installation procedure, testing the upgrade from mga2 to mga3 or testing live-media you should downlowd the beta3.

Thanks guys, that pretty much answered my questions. I think I will create a new partition just to play around with the newest ISOs installation.

Actually the only two supported scenarios, and those which should be tested are and upgrade from an up-to-date Mageia 2,
and a fresh install of the latest Mageia 3 release. Upgrades from one Mageia 3 development step to another are not that interesting
for QA and bug report purposes at all.
