Update:
Problem gone.
Reinstalled using alpha 2 x86-64 DVD.
Mageia 3 looking very good - congratulations to all.

Cheers

Update 2012/10/20
Problem has returned. Not as bad as it was. No longer as wide-ranging or persistant. Problem once occurring does not "infect" subsequent or other windows. Does not require log-out to clear.

---------------------------------------------------------------
Mageia3 alpha 1 updated. X86-64, nvidia, kde.

Is anyone else having a problem with the text being occassionally and in places scrambled? Started with the updates on Monday as I recall. Shows up in Firefox, Thunderbird, MCC at least.

A log-out and relog-in sorts it out for a while. Have tried changing fonts, anti-aliasing. In Firefox some pages can be ok for a bit then farther down things go bad. Sometimes following a link to a new page initiates the problem which can persist after returning to the previous page. In typing this post the shift-k gives me a bold-t instead.

Edit:
updates include kernel 3.5.4.1 and nvidia 304.43-2

Have just tried booting in kernel 3.5.3.3 with nvidia 304.43. Now seeing the same problem here. Did not observe the problem before the updates.

Cheers

Can you please post a screenshot of what you're seeing?

No font-rendering problems here but some artefacts in taksbar and on the edge of menues from time to time.
Kernel 3.5.4-desktop-1.mga3, x11-driver -video-intel.

@doktor5000, they don't persist long enough to make a screenshot.

edit: got them :)
