it seems current version gdm may have bug, which to prevent to login.

then boot safe mode

try to remove gdm, it works for me.

and even now i chose to console login, and happy with startxfce4 (XFCE 4.10).

What bug? And how would it prevent the login? Was there any error message to it?

Hi, i am using mageia 3,

if i re-install gdm, it happening again.

no error message shown to me, just mouse icon waiting forever.

then remove gdm, set boot configuration to without graphic login option(xdm/gdm).

it works fine with xdm, but it load icewm by default.

There is no Mageia 3. You are currently using cauldron, the development version of Mageia, where breakage happens often.
You may want to take a look at my signature or https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Cauldron
You should only use it if you know your way around and can fix such problems yourself.
