when we have xorg-server 1.10.1 with
xorg-server 1.10.1
libgl 7.10.2
updated xf86-drivers (ati,nvidia ecc)
working nouveau support
nvidia-96xx driver removed (replaced by nouveau)

Mageia is currently as RC. No updates should be made except urgent bugfixes.
I don't know if xorg 1.10 has critical bugs.
If yes, mageia will maybe provide bugfixing version 1.10.1, if not, you may have to wait mageia 2

It looks to me as though Mageia is already using 1.10.1
/core/release/x11-server-1.10.1-1.mga1.i586.rpm
