No button for Konsole on panel

In KDE as on the Beta3 DVD, there is a button for Konsole on the panel when Konsole is active. After all updates, it has vanished. Is this intended by KDE? Even better, can I get the traditional taskbar back?

Actually, it is there some of the time. It will be a KDE issue - what else? The only sideways thought at the moment is that it depends on how the Konsole is started. I have Konsole as part of my session.

Well, those are those pesky launcher-type launchers, imitating windows 7 behaviour. Or at least this is what i get from your description of it. IIRC those launchers vanish as long as that application is open, and come back when you close them. You can disable that IMHO.
